Swim Whisperers In-Water Lab Training with Texoma Swim Academy
Ailene and Cindy will be in the pool with you, sharing their knowledge and expertise to help you consolidate what you learned in Swim Whisperers® Levels 1 and/or 2.
Topics of intent to be covered include:
- Interpreting touch
- Handling the anxious student
- Face submersion with ASD students
- Back float progression
- Breath control techniques
- Handling the oppositional defiant student
- Progressions and lead up skills
- Program development and HOW to deliver semi-private swim lessons and create a swim squad
- How to deliver a therapeutic swim lesson using the Swim Whisperers strategies and techniques
The training will feature guided student lessons with three Texoma Swim Academy students taught by Swim Angelfish. Two students ASD and one student with KAT6A.
You will gain practical knowledge and skills to take back to your swim or aquatic therapy community as well as be able to build relationships with others certified in the Swim Angelfish Swim Whisperers program!
Session Details
The cost for this training is $250 per attendee.  With the exception of those bringing two or more instructors.  The fee for two or more instructors from the same swim school or facility is $200 for each attendee.
Registration fees are due on or before Tuesday, September 5. 2023. Texoma Swim Academy will accept check payment mailed to Texoma Swim Academy or Square for registration payment. Square payment will include a 3% CC Fee.
Registration includes coffee for poolside education, in-water training, a Texas themed lunch and take-home materials.
