Small Group Adaptive Swim Lessons – Success with Group Learning

We specialize in working with children with special needs to help them overcome obstacles relating to Anxiety, Discomfort, Delay, Trauma, Motor, Sensory issues, Autism, or Physical Disabilities. Small group lessons are a great way to introduce group learning and meet individual swim goals at the same time.

Why Choose Small Group Lessons?

Small group lessons are recommended when a swimmer can pass a deep-water test and enjoys being part of a team. In a small group lesson, there will be between 3-4 swimmers with one instructor.

Our Unique Approach

We assess each swimmer and create a unique learning plan to meet the individual needs of our swimmers. We select groups according to each athlete’s swim ability, swim goals, and availability at our different pools. When deciding on the right group or right partner for your child, we can integrate a 15-minute overlap with another swimmer or with a small group, to make sure it’s a good fit!

Swim Skills and Beyond

Swimmers in this group are independent in the water and have successfully met swim skill benchmarks such as swimming on their belly, swimming on their backs and are comfortable going under water (submerging). Although the swimmers in this group are familiar with the various swim strokes, they may not be skilled or proficient just yet.

Our small groups focus on swimming endurance, completing laps, pre-diving skills, swim drills for stroke performance, and strengthening. We foster social interaction and engagement and create a feeling of being a part of a TEAM – with our core values of Together, Everyone, Achieves, More.

Expertise in Every Lesson

Our instructors are trained in the Swim Whisperers® methodology to overcome the underlying problems that hinder swim success. They use specially developed strategies to address each student’s individual challenges, helping them achieve swim skill benchmarks faster and feel more confident and comfortable in the water.
