Semi-Private Adaptive Swim Lessons A Bridge to Group Learning

At Swim Angelfish, we understand the unique journey each child with special needs embarks on in the world of swimming. Our semi-private swim lessons offer a seamless transition from private to group classes, catering specifically to children with special needs such as Anxiety, Discomfort, Delay, Trauma, Motor, Sensory issues, Autism, or Physical Disabilities.

Why Choose a Semi-private Class?

A semi-private class is the perfect stepping stone towards a group class, especially for swimmers who demonstrate water safety awareness and can stay focused with minimal guidance. Parents often find that their children flourish in environments where they can interact with peers. In these classes, our instructors blend individual attention with the dynamics of a duo, ensuring that the lesson pace aligns with each child’s learning rhythm and specific needs.

Our Unique Approach

In each semi-private lesson, two children are paired with one of our Adaptive Swim Whisperers® certified instructors. We focus on creating a harmonious match in terms of age, personality, and swimming abilities. Through this, we ensure that the session is engaging, productive, and enjoyable for both swimmers.

Beyond Just Swim Skills

Our goal extends beyond teaching swimming techniques. In semi-private lessons, we emphasize social interaction and side-by-side drills, which can be incredibly beneficial for children with sensory or motor challenges. This environment not only fosters swim skills but also encourages social development, often less accessible in other settings.

Expertise in Every Lesson

Our instructors are equipped with specialized strategies from the Swim Whisperers® Methodology to address the core challenges that hinder swim success. They are adept at keeping both students engaged, maintaining attention, and providing the sensory input necessary for a fulfilling learning experience. With these tools, our instructors are prepared to help each swimmer reach their milestones, ensuring they feel confident and at ease in the water.
