The Swim Angelfish Presentation was one of the best talks that I attended at the entire ASCA Clinic. It will not only help my swimmer that may be on the spectrum or have learning disabilities but also for my neurotypical swimmers.

It is part of that (recent drownings) we learned that kids with those needs are 160 times more likely to drown. So the question is how could we make good from this tragedy and how can we spread the word.

I learned SO many helpful strategies and ideas to use to assist students with swimmng skills. It is definitely hard to narrow down to just one roadblock that was helpful. This course has provided me with so many strategies to implement with my adaptive swim lesson students. I am quite thankful that I invested in this Level 1 course. Thank you for all of the important information contained in this course to help students with disabilities to be safe, have fun, and develop important swim skills.

I genuinely enjoyed the Level 2 training because of its relatability. The videos show real scenarios and not just ‘perfect moments.’ I feel that the Level 2 training provided me with strategies that I can use immediately to help swimmers on my caseload. When I saw what I had come up with in the Level 2 training, it made me feel a bit more confident that I am on the right track. I can’t wait to start using my newfound skills in the pool with our swimmers.

When we first thought of starting a swim program, we knew we needed a sophisticated training that was focused specifically on safe swim for children with autism. Because of Swim Angelfish, we have been able to train over 15 instructors and provide swim lessons for over 200 children with autism. We are the only program in the Virginia Beach community that provides consistent swim lessons for children with autism at little to no cost to their families. None of this would be possible without the Swim Angelfish Training curriculum and supporting resources for children and parents.
