The Angelfish Aquatic Therapy, Swim Whisperers Swim Lesson and Swim Whisperers Certification programs are supported by several foundations, raising money for families of children with special needs and swim instructors, so that they may benefit from these amazing programs.

Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation (Stewie the Duck)

The Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for water safety awareness and education initiatives. Every year, they fund hundreds of lifeguard trainings and 10,000 free or low-cost swim lessons for children in need. In association with Step into Swim, the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation has awarded Swim Angelfish with a grant to support swimming lessons in 2024 for children who qualify for financial assistance. This grant will have a positive impact in our community and will enable more families to access swim lessons for their children with special needs and help them gain lifesaving water safety skills.

All swim lesson grants have now been awarded for 2024.

By providing financial assistance, the Breakthrough Fund enables access to essential health and wellness services that might otherwise be out of reach.

Swim Angelfish is proud to work with the Breakthrough Fund to provide adaptive swim and aquatic therapy services for neurodiverse individuals. The Breakthrough Fund will identify neurodiverse individuals who are not currently enrolled in OPWDD services and are in need of funding to access health and wellness services.

Enrollees will have the choice to select from a pool of approved providers, including Swim Angelfish. As part of our commitment to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn to swim, Swim Angelfish has pledged to give back to the Breakthrough Fund at the end of each year.

Clients that receive funding through this organization will be scheduled with Swim Angelfish based on availability at our NY and CT locations.
