​Swim Team Adaptive Swim Lessons – Unlocking Swim Potential

We specialize in working with children with special needs to help them overcome obstacles relating to Anxiety, Discomfort, Delay, Trauma, Motor, Sensory issues, Autism, or Physical Disabilities. We have different types of Adaptive Swim Teams at our various pools, created specifically to meet the needs of each of our individual swimmers.

Our Unique Approach

We consider and match swim team members based on what will work best for them. The goal of our adaptive swim team is to help swimmers improve their skills and achieve their personal and team objectives.

Swim Skills and Beyond

Swimmers on our teams train under a Swim Whisperers® instructor to improve endurance and refine swim stroke techniques. Participants on some of our swim teams are doing competitive skills, swim drills for every stroke, diving as well as flip turns. The opportunities are endless.

Expertise in Every Lesson

Our Swim Whisperers® instructors are highly trained and experienced in teaching swimmers with special needs. With specialized strategies and techniques, our instructors are prepared to help each swimmer reach their individual and team swim goals, ensuring they feel confident and at ease in the water.

Suitable for Swimmers Who:

  • Able to pass a deep-water test (swim independently for a short period of time)
  • Can float on their back independently
  • Can submerge independently
  • Experience performing swim strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke)
  • Enjoys being part of a team, socializing and would benefit from peer modeling
  • Can listen and follow directions

Lesson Details

  • Student teacher ratio: 3-4:1​
  • 30/45/60 minute classes​

  • Ages 8 years to 18 years

  • Once per week​

Private Lessons

One-to-One customized lesson teaching swim skills and water safety with one of our experienced adaptive swim instructors.

Semi-Private Lessons

A bridge between a private lesson and a group experience, where we identify the shared goals of the swimmers and support them both to attain swim skills.

Small Group Lessons

With 3-4 swimmers per instructor, we create the perfect group match based on each athlete’s abilities and goals.
